| Tuition zooms-we all know that school is not cheep. We shell out a lot of money to come here. Tuition prices never really go down but they do like to go up. Because of this a lot of borrowing/lending of money happens. I personally am taking out student loans to offset the price of education. It’s a shame that it has to cost so much just to read more books and have discussions with peers and mentors. As loans go up, so does debt. My article was just an informative one on loans and such. I was surprised to learn that even if you declare bankrupsy, you still have to pay student loans. That’s like Wow to me. Also the totals of loans and tuitions are something like 400% increased. We are talking from 4 billion in 2001 to 17 billion in 2006, we are talking dollars here. Overall I found it an interesting topic but it did not raise much class discussion. I think it’s just accepted, it costs a lot and we have to pay it! |
